A few years back while discussing with our Principal Sir, an idea of forming an Alumni Association camp up. All the students present in that meeting unanimously decided to start an old student's Association with immediate effect.
Some students who had passed out in 2010 and 2011 were informed about the decision and a date was fixed to hold a meeting of the passed out students in school. A beginning was made with about 10 students. The spirit of the participants was high. A decision was taken by the present participants to make the meeting of old students a regular annual event and the place for holding these meetings would be the school premises. Since then, we have been having regular meetings on the school premises.
A proper executive committee evolved after a few meetings. These executive members took a few decisions which were further placed before the full house and approved. The executive body decided that the passing out students should also contribute towards the institution which played a major role in developing their basic foundation in life. On this behalf, some policy decisions were taken by the executive and approved by full house. Some of the decisions taken and further implement are as follows -
(A) The Association organizes an Old students meeting on the school premises, at least once a year
(B) keeps track of all passing out students-collects addresses,phone numbers and in formation about their job profile.
(C) Organisec a Kabbadi Match between the school team and old students.
(D) Gives awards to the Toppers of Board Exams in classes - Xth and VIIIth.
(E) Helps school authorities in organizing the Annual Function.
(F) Some old students organize extra classes for the students appearing in Board Exams. They take regular classes during holidays or in the evenings.
All such activities have played a vital role in strengthening the bond between the institution and the taught.
I take this opportunity to invite the old students to actively participate by helping in the qualitative development of the infrastructure and academic activities on the campus of our own Institution.
